Payment Policy – Environmental Science and Sustainable Development (ESSD)

Open Access Policy
All articles published in Environmental Science and Sustainable Development (ESSD) are freely available online immediately upon publication. This ensures that research is accessible to readers worldwide without barriers.

Article Processing Charges (APC)
To cover the costs of editorial handling, peer review, production, online hosting, and indexing, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 150 EUR applies to accepted manuscripts.

• There are no submission fees.

• The APC is payable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

• Invoices may be subject to VAT or local taxes where applicable.

Refund Policy

• APCs are non-refundable once the production process begins.

• Refunds are issued only in cases of double payment, technical errors, or withdrawal of an article before production starts.

Waiver Policy
ESSD supports equitable access to publishing opportunities. Authors from low-income countries or those with proven financial hardship may apply for a full or partial waiver of APCs. Waiver requests should be made at the time of submission and will not affect the editorial decision.
