Dr. Grigorios L. Kyriakopoulos Appointed Editor-in-Chief of ESSD

ESSD is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Grigorios L. Kyriakopoulos as the new Editor-in-Chief of Environmental Science and Sustainable Development (ESSD).

Dr. Kyriakopoulos is a Teaching and Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and holds two PhDs, in Chemical Engineering and Low-Carbon Economy, with expertise in environmental science, energy, and sustainability. As of 2026, he serves on the editorial boards of 44 journals, has (co)edited 20 books, and has (co)authored 150 papers, with an h-index of 42 (Scopus).

We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Lucia Della Spina for her outstanding service as Editor-in-Chief of ESSD. During her tenure, the journal strengthened its scholarly impact and broadened its reach.
