ARChive-SR is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes research on the social, cultural, and historical dimensions of urban environments, including heritage, identity, community life, and planning. The journal welcomes original empirical, theoretical, and historical research, in-depth case studies, and review articles that deepen understanding of how people, culture, and heritage shape, and are shaped by, cities.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

1. Urban Social Life, Community Well-being, and Health: Social interactions, networks, quality of life, and access to health, education, and social services in cities.
2. Urban Sociology and Social Inequality: Social structures, inequality, segregation, and cultural change in urban communities.
3. Identity and Belonging in Urban Contexts: Formation and expression of individual and collective identities shaped by ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality, migration, and socioeconomic status.
4. Religion and Sacred Spaces in Cities: Religious institutions, practices, and sacred places, and their role in urban communities and everyday life.
5. Art and Culture in Urban Environments: Public art, street art, and cultural practices, and their role in shaping urban identity and community engagement.
6. Tangible and Intangible Urban Heritage: Heritage management, policy, and community meaning in historic cities, including historic buildings, archaeological sites, and living traditions.
7. Urban Planning, Governance, and Public Space: Planning processes, land use, participation, and governance, and the social role of streets, parks, and public spaces.

Studies centered on engineering and construction technology, environmental science, or sustainability assessment fall outside the scope of the journal.
